Don't know where to put this general question, but I have a boot problem with x86 AE distros, from some GPT/MBR BIOS format issues!
See this:
https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/24467-usb-x86-boots-in-uefi-not-legacy-boot-dell-e7450/?pageNo=21. So some PCs ( Dell i5 8GB) take above "GPT" format (shown as GPT UEFI non-CSM in Rufus) and don't boot from the regular "MBR" as downloaded from alexelec site.
This "MBR" in Rufus is shown as Legacy BIOS CSM.
2. Other PCs ( HP Elite Desk 800G2), old Xeon PC, and HP T620 Celeron mini PC work with the MBR version only.
3. I recently had a friend who couldn't run either MBR or GPT AE 11.1.3 distro on his i5 18GB PC.
So any insights as to why this happens? Any solutions?
